First Bath

A three months old pet is generally ready for its first bath. Pups need a very delicate specific shampoo which does not irritate the skin and the eyes, but which guarantees a cleaned and deodorized coat.

First Bath is an exclusive Baldecchi formula. It takes care of pups’ hair and skin; nevertheless, it can be used for old dogs and for all those animals with delicate skin and coat. This shampoo is a “no-tears” shampoo, because its pH value is quite similar to the one of pets’ tears, so it’s less irritating for the eyes and more suitable to clean the muzzle.

First Bath contains extracts of chamomile and mallow, as well as esters of fruit acids. Chamomile extract is sedative and delicate on the skin, while mallow extract performs a lenitive and refreshing action. Esters of fruit acids deodorize and moisturize skin and coat; penetrating in the hair, they give it strength and volume.

A constant use of the First Bath guarantees the following results:

  • protection for the hair: its components sweetly cleanse the hair, without dissolving the lipidic barrier protecting it; the Esters of Fruit Acids nourish and strengthen the delicate hair of puppies or the spoiled one of old dogs;
  • protection for the skin: the hydration it gives and its emollient extract protect the skin from external aggressions, helping the restoration of the hair lipidic barrier;
  • visibly more shining: the hair, healthy and well protected, grows naturally shining and beautiful.

Technical information

How to prepare the cleansing solution: mix 2 tablespoons of shampoo every 10 kg of weight with 0.5 – 1 – 1.5 litres of water, according to the pet’s size (small, medium, large).
How to prepare the pet: before washing, comb or brush carefully the pet’s hair, in order to eliminate dead hair, dust and so on. Put some cotton in the pet’s ears to avoid water getting inside.
How to wash the pet: wet it’s hair completely, apply half of the solution on wet hair, massage all the body to obtain abundant foam. Go on massaging for some minutes. Rinse and repeat with the remaining solution. Then  rinse carefully the whole body.
How to dry the hair: if possible, let the pet shake spontaneously: in this way it will eliminate half the water by itself. Wrap the pet in a towel and rub it; repeat with more towels. Brush or comb the hair softly for some minutes; to complete drying, use a hairdryer, keeping it at a distance of about 50 cm from the pet’s body and at low-medium temperature, so that skin and hair shouldn’t suffer from heat.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes; in case of contact, rinse with plenty of water. Prevent animals to lick themselves during the bath.
